As the Group grows, the Group Finance function is continually expanding and looking to recruit a Bookkeeper to join our Livingston Headquarters.

 

The Role:

Reporting to the Assistant accountant Lab Products, the bookkeeper will be responsible for recording transactions, controlling debtors and payables, and reconciling banks across multiple entities. The position will be supported by the Assistant accountant and management accountant.

Key responsibilities will include:

o Bank Reconciliation

o Record payments as per bank statements.

o Reconcile customer payments.

o Reconciling suppliers accounts against statements.

o Maintaining account payable and receivable tidy by performing reconciliation and associated corrections.

Payables

o Record suppliers’ invoices to match purchase orders and purchase receipt.

o Records overhead invoices.

o Control expenses: check limits and record VAT as necessary against receipt.

o Prepare payments as requested.

Debtor Collection

o Send monthly customer statement and payment reminder before the end of month.

o Chase late debtor to obtain payment dates.

o Achieve the cash flow collection targets.

o No debt beyond 60days, minimum under 30days overdue.

o Email Management

o Monitor and manage the company’s general email inbox.

o Respond promptly to customer and supplier inquiries or escalate as necessary.

o Organize and categorize incoming emails to ensure timely follow-up.

o Other Duties

o Assisting the Lab Products team in ad hoc missions.

 

What You’ll Need to Bring

o Previous experience in a similar role.

o PC literate and proficient knowledge of Microsoft packages, particularly excel.
